It seemed in from the mid-90's through, at least, the early 2000's that Southern Nazerene University had the edge on recruiting those players.
Astou Ndiaye-Diatta attended SNU from 93-97, then played in the ABL and then in the WNBA. Her older sister by a couple of years, Ndiasse, then played from 98-2000 and then I think Jazz (Ndiasse) may have recruited for SNU either officially or unofficially. NOW, Astou is in her first season as an assistant coach at Utah State. I wonder if she is recruiting these players. I followed SNU because of a friend and remember Astou and Jazz were great young women, very smart and personable.
