Updated rankings

Well, those are certainly useless. Baylor is ranked ahead of Kentucky, which beat Baylor? Kentucky is up at #11, but were they actually better than South Florida, Illinois, or Oklahoma? Kentucky should have been 1-2 at the Jam. Then, Washington received a vote as did South Florida? Illinois, the only team to beat Kentucky, received no votes?

Early message: play patsies.

This early in the season, indeed they are quite arbitrary. IMO, Texas has the best remume of marquee wins to date. Uconn & ND battle this weekend, which certainly should give the winner an edge up on the rest of the field.

I agree. But, I kinda like watching the teams being shuffled around from week to week and there is a lot of movement this early in the season. In order for the Sooners to join those in the top 25, I think it is clear we are going to have to beat at least one ranked team and maybe two. Plus, we have to avoid loses to unranked teams.

I certainly agree with you SoonerNorm, but with our decision to play most of the non-conference away from home, I expect it is going to prove pretty hard to win a big percentage of them.

However, if we do somehow beat the best teams we are playing - on their home courts - we will move up quite a ways in the polls.
