Remains at the top of the Big 12 in FG percentage at 64.7%. In the last 5 games her average is 73.5%.

If she was in better condition, I suspect Sherri would play her 25-30 minutes per game. On the year she has averaged 13 minutes per game.

Is it that Vivi is not in condition as well as Kay Kay? I thought she was better. But, Sherri has always regarded the potential of Kay Kay as something to be nurtured. I wonder if she will switch over to Vivi?

We play at a really fast pace and expect them to run the floor. They would blow half the bigs out of the water in a long distance race- we just have a pretty extreme pace.

But on Vivi. She's becoming one of premier low post players in the conference and honestly, as only a soph- on the verge of becoming the best. Very exciting stuff considering what a truly dominant big can do for a team in women's college basketball. She combines the skill that our coaching staff is so good at teaching low post players, and this toughness that is the real difference in her game. She is ferocious- and don't back down to anybody. One of my favorite plays was the T in Okie State game! She's mean! I love it.

The league has been pretty guard dominant the past few years, with the exception of Baylor. Even UT with all their size relies more on their guards than post play.

It appears that is changing to an extent. There are still very good guards in the league, but centers, especially young centers, are doing well this year.

Oklahoma has VPL, and Nancy coming in.
Oklahoma State has Jensen & to a lesser extent Coleman.
Baylor has Mompremier & Brown who have progressed nicely this year.
ISU had a nice young post, but she transferred. They have a 6'4 international girl coming in.
TCU has Jordan Moore who has a lot of upside.
UT has a nice addition coming in that keeps them with an all around size advantage.
Tech has highly recruited Jada Terry available next year. She started at A&M and transferred.
Not sure what the Kansas schools or WV have coming in, but KSU and WVU will have nice Sr post players next year.

I think Griner changed some recruiting philosophies for sure. Big 12 looks like it will remain a highly competitive league top to bottom for the next few years at least.

Vivi has been the most impactful player IMO as of late - she's ready to contribute at all times I would love to see her and KK on the floor together - I know that won't happen but still could be powerful

I was very excited watching her last year. She had just hurt her knee the previous spring and her she was playing for us. You could tell she wasn't fully recovered but you could also see the raw talent and that she was a very good athlete. She looks recovered to me. I'd like to see her role expand.

Don't think we'll see Sherri use ViVi and KayKay much differently than she's used them all season. Both are very effective scorers in the low post, and by splitting time you've almost always got a fresh player ready to come in at a moment's notice. It's also a huge advantage if and when either of them gets in foul trouble.

We should feel blessed that we've got two post players the caliber of Kaylon and ViVi.

I don't think you are going to hear any complaints. I actually think Treece has the ability and desire to contribute more. Believe she will in future games this season. Just like Derica, it is about minutes.

Also, barring injuries, I look to see them both in the W. KK won't go in the first round but if she gets drafted by a team that needs more posts, then she just needs to go in and put in the effort. So much of the W (like most things in life) is luck...who you know, who promotes you, who drafts you. There are young women who are not playing and want to who are better than those that are on the teams, some of whom get some decent minutes.
