WCWS all-tournament team..can't find but found

and found this: Knighten was joined on the all-tournament team by fellow freshman Sydney Romero and Paige Parker, who was named the tournament’s most outstanding player.

maybe you have all seen the all-tournament team, maybe it has even
been posted here and I missed it

Can only say I think Kelsey Arnold deserved a place on the team. Know
it would be an impossible task for me to pick a team. Not sure there is
a way of getting it 100 percent correct. So, anyway, congrats to Paige, Shay
and Sydney, definitely deserving.

They had to make room for five or six Auburn players including the piece of arrogant work who had two errors against us in the last game.

so has anyone actually posted a link to the team.......I did a lot of googling to find the 5 players mentioned above

SoonerSpock posted in another thread;

"The Norman Transcript listed the all tournament team as Paige Parker, Shay Knighten and Sidney Romero from OU; Emily Carosone, Kasey Cooper, Tiffany Howard, Jada Rhodes and Makayla Martin from Auburn; Jessica Burroughs and Alex Powers from FSU and Mysha Sataraka from UCLA."

The all tournament team listed is typical for all-team awards. It contains no listing for a shortstop, a catcher and only one outfielder but list three first basemen Shay Knighten OU, Alex Powers FSU and Jada Rhodes Auburn; and three 3rd basemen Sydney Romero OU, Kasey Cooper Auburn and Mysha Sataraka UCLA on the team.

Makes for a kind of funny looking all tournament team but that is not unusual as offensive performance is often the only determinant to team membership other than for the pitchers.

Darn, should have thought of the Transcript, didn't find anything online for The Oklahoman though it was probably there and missed it. Thanks, people.
Yes, I guess offense is more exciting but to me really good defense is just as exciting, PLUS if it seems Kelsey wasn't bad in the tournament offensively. Oh, well. The championship is most important and that involves the team and staff.

The Oklahoman does a very poor job of covering all minor sports. I have seen OU minor sports win a conference championship in the past with any note of the win in internet version of the paper. Their sports news is minimal and dated with the few post presented often being a week to ten days old. I would assume the info is more current and more complete if you subscribe.

Don't subscribe and the Oklahoman on the net is becoming increasingly worthless.

I saw something today that suggested that the Oklahoman is being shipped to the Philippines?

If it is owned and operated in the Phillippines and uses only wire feeds as sources of news, I don't see a lot of local news forthcoming. I don't know how that will work.

I thought billionaire Philip Anshutz (KU grad living in Denver) bought paper a few years ago? We all know it sure didn't improve anything!

Because of all the coverage for the Thunder, minor sports receive much less coverage along with jucos and D-2 schools.

Not to mention it's cut into their overhyping of OSU football and men's basketball, at least to an extent.

As for the all-tourney team, what a joke to only have three OU girls on it and several from Allbarn. :facepalm

Agreed! Today there is "Breaking News" on jokelahoman website that osu has gotten commitments from 2 3-star football players! SMH!

It is such a horrible example of a newspaper!
