Somehow this will likely be a worse noncon schedule than last year, when we had one of the worst schedules I’ve ever seen.
I just don't know how they think they can build excitement for the program playing that home schedule in the nonconference. Brutally bad.Gosh that home schedule is just ****. It’s bad enough having moser. We do t even get good nonconf games at home
I don't think it's about the fans. I think it's about a coach who simply feels like his best/only chance to stack wins is to play the worst teams in the country. And who doesn't understand the smart way to schedule. Either way, it's awful, regardless of his motivations. This is just the program saying f you to the home fans. Pisses me off.
its happening all over college basketball fewer and fewer home and home series, more neutral court made for TV matchupsThis is just the program saying f you to the home fans. Pisses me off.
You aren't wrong that more and more of the marquee games are at neutral sites, but I don't think you will find many, if any, power conference teams with a home schedule as bad as ours. Last year, every home opponent was in the 300s. Campbell was around 200 last season, and if they are in that range this year, they will be the only non-300 team this season. Think of that -- 14-ish home games over two years, and all but one against teams in the 300s. And for all I know, Campbell might not be as good this season.its happening all over college basketball fewer and fewer home and home series, more neutral court made for TV matchups
ULM went 4-28 and finished 352 in KenPom and 355 in NET. Campbell is the exception, as noted, in that they finished 200 in NET.Are Campbell and ULM
Not in better conferences around the 150-200 range?
I believe tickets already are free. Some of those early games should offer free seats to students to have some semblance of a home crowd. Hopefully we don't invite recruits to
come and see a 2/3 empty seated crowd for these pitiful games.
