I am glad to see Boyette's name. She hasn't lived up to expectations but it seemed she had a lot to deal with. She seems intelligent and self-aware and a good young woman.
Also, like seeing a Tech player. I would like to see that program come back. Actually, want all of the Big 12 teams to be good. Of course, I want OU to be best.
And, wasn't expecting to see any OU players this week so wasn't disappointed.
Hopefully, OU players will start being more consistent. You can see talent but
in spurts or at moments. I still believe Kay Kay can be better. I know her stats have been good but just think she can be better. Know Norm mentioned her developing an 8 or 10 foot shot (might be wrong on the footage, but even without that, she could be better at what she does do. Like in the Baylor game,
if you are surrounded and going to be rejected, especially after two tries, kick it back out. Of course, I am not sure if she had experienced that type of play from other bigs this year.
Anyway, still a lot of unknowns about this team. Maddie, will she or won't she break out this year? Gioya, how good will she be? Peyton, I feel is the most composed player. Though she did seem the game before last to finally let her shooting get in her head, but she usually deals with that well. Tona is really playing smarter. Kind of disappointed that Vivi seems to be in a sophomore slump. Is it her leg?
Well, guess I got off-topic regarding the thread subject. It just seemed to flow from my not expecting an OU player to receive player of the week honors.
