I do not think she is the worst player on the team at this time yet she didn't play more than a few seconds in the Paradise Jam.

Would you have played her more if you were Sherri?

Honestly, I know people have been wanting OU to have a deep team for years, But I think Sherri should tighten up the rotation to about 8 players..

Ortiz, Little, Williams, Campbell-Olds, Williams. With Kornet, and the 2 bigs Pierre and Treece off the bench.

I watched some of the Baylor/Marist game Sunday and the commentators were saying something about Mulkey platooning some this year, similar to the Kentucky men's BB team. They didn't think it would last, once she decided who would make the rotation.

The reason I like to see a lot of players (as long as there is no huge dropoff in talent) is because you never know who can give the team a spark. The spark may be in defense, rebounding, steals, blocks, or scoring. But, if that player doesn't get any minutes, you never know what that player may have been able to bring to the court.

That said, if the five on the court are on fire, there is obviously no reason to change.

Haha you want her to give up on Manning? And not play Carter at all?

Just don't get your hopes up...

I think Sherri will continue to us10 to 11 players in a game, until she finds out who is most consistently doing what SHE wants done, not what we see. Some variation depending on opposition players, but see who is hot, develop young players, and ease those returning from injury into the fray.

I don't know how you decide right now. Kay Kay was really good against Washington, but she hasn't been all that effective since, except for a few minutes at a time.

Treece killed South Florida, but we lost badly. She really hasn't looked the same since.

Vionese---without her, we lose to Illinois. But, she hasn't been that effective otherwise.

Little, has her moments. Then, she gets lost as though in a daydream and doesn't shoot. Shoot!

Derica was in to shoot threes. She gets a wide open three, and passes the ball. She never misses free throws. But, she was zero for two down the stretch against Kentucky as we were trying to get anyone to hit a free throw and win the game.

Sharane was actually taken out of a game with about 1:40 gone for doing absolutely nothing. Sherri said she just started horribly slow. She is the one player who is supposedly there at all times. But, she has taken to missing key free throws (glad she hit two against Illinois), and her passes make you wonder if she is on pain medication. She made two turnovers passing the ball one foot.

Nicole---I really have nothing negative about Nicole. She does the best at what she can do of anyone on the team. We need her to be healthy.

Carter will make a great play, and screw it up with a turnover on the other end of the floor. Three times, she has made a steal, only to lose the ball dribbling the length of the floor. She isn't Marquis Haynes. She has to learn to watch where she is passing. Her ten foot jump shots are consistently going nine feet.

T'Ona---is probably the odd man out. She simply cannot score, except at the free throw line. She loses the ball when she goes inside.

This is a lot of negatives. Yet, there are positives about each that make them potential stars. It is much too early to tell. We are four and two, and four of the games have been against good opposition.

I think you are correct. I don't think Sherri is ready to make a decision on some of the players and wants additional time to evaluate them.
