Will Buddy Average 20 Points This Season?

I would lean towards yes as well, especially if he attacks the basket the way he did his freshmen season.

Need some inside scoring so teams don't gang up. Woodard needs to be a threat too.

I believe he's got the ability but we have a lot of guys that can score it. I'll say around 18ppg for Buddy. 16ppg for Cousins and I expect a better scoring mark from Spangler.

Depends on if Thomas plays. If he does Buddy will likely get fewer shots and we may have so longer possessions from post-play. If he doesn't, I thin Buddy will have to be our go-to guy most times down the the floor and will score 20 ppg.

I agree with you on this. Thomas and Spangler together probably keep buddy in the 15-17 points per game area. No Thomas and Buddy averages about 20-21.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Buddy will average more points than Paul George this year.

The funny thing is, the answer to this question actually has very little to do with Buddy.

I think in an ideal world, we are "too balanced" for Hield to get 20 ppg. That said, if Thomas isn't eligible, and the other freshman play like freshman (especially whoever starts at the 4), I could see it happening. Cam and Buddy lead the team, easily, in shot attempts last season. Cam's shots have to go somewhere. I could see Thomas absorbing most of them, but I don't see that happening if Buford starts at the 4. It would just depend how many shots Woodard/Cousins/Spangler absorb.

If I had to guess, I'd guess 18-19, but it could happen.

Interesting

Buddy ended up at 18.5 in conference and 17.4 overall.
