Steve Blake just signed with the Lakers and the Clip have 8 unrestricted free agents. Drew Gooden already inked a deal with another team and the clip have 2pgs on the roster and 2 shooting guards. If he works hard, he should make the team.

Anybody know if the Clippers are going to add one of those bigtime free-agents with the 17-million or whatever that they have available? I'm not talking about Lebron. I just haven't heard any other big names associated with the Clippers besides Joe Johnson and it looks like he'll remain a Hawk.

I think the Clippers could be much improved if they add somebody to go along with Blake, but I just havent heard any names yet.

Thanks in advance

Because of Donald Sterling, they won't get a top tier guy. They need a small forward. There best bet is a guy like Josh Childress.

WW has enough talent where I think its almost assured he sticks around at least 1 year. Think he really needs to spend a year in the D League to grow and work on his game rather then sit on an NBA bench though.

Wow, Steve Blake is a great pickup for the Lakers. He's a good fit. I wonder if the clips will go after another point or roll with baron Davis

Baron is gone. I think they have their pg of the future in Bledsoe. Outside of Knight and Selby, it's going to be a while before there is a pg as good as Bledsoe in my opinion, and he's very similar to Westbrook. I think they're going to go young and build around Bledsoe, Blake, Gordon, Aminu, and Kaman. Then you can bring Jordan off then bench like Ibaka. So you have a lineup that's very similar to OKC.

Gonna be a while before there's a point guard as good as Bledsoe? You mean in all of college basketball? Maybe I misunderstood, otherwise one of us is taking crazy pills. Bledsoe wasn't even the best pg on his own team last year! Wall was the best pg in college basketball and the #1 pick, are you saying Bledsoe was actually better than him all along?

Bledsoe is coming off a season where he played point a few minutes a game maybe if Wall was on the bench. So you're basing the assessment that he's the best pg in a while on...? Seeing him in high school? He hasn't even dominated pg at the college level, not even for one year, but he's the best pg? Sorry, I'm gonna need a player to prove it to me first. I've seen one too many drafts where upside and potential were lauded above all only to flame out to people who could play basketball well.

And if you have to say "it'll be a while before there is a pg as good as Bledsoe, who knows how long, oh except next year's class (only a year later, literally the next possible time you could find someone as good), which actually has 2 guys that might be as good as him, but other than that bring a book cause it could be a while," you're really reaching to make a point. It didn't take a while, you admit yourself, it actually only took one season to find 2 guys as good. For my money Kyrie Irving is the best point guard in this next class anyway.

I think the Clippers see Westbrook when they look at Bledsoe. Irving, Knight, and Selby are the only guys comparable to Bledsoe. If you're trying to get better, you can't bank on someone in the college ranks, especially since comparing Selby, Knight, Bledsoe, and Irving is splitting hairs. One scout might like Irving better, the next might like Bledsoe or Selby. Basically, I believe the Clippers think they have their point guard for the future, and probably starting pg by the end of the year. They're trying to get rid of Davis.
