Wright becomes 3rd player to leave Baylor women's team

Interesting is right. Baylor has a loaded roster! Did she think her playing time was going to decrease? Who knows
 
If Wallace takes the season off to play for her national team then Baylor will be lacking guards... I think she would have gotten time backing up Jones.
 
Imani didn't want to take a back seat to anyone and could not handle being embarrassed daily by Alexis. She is the real deal and has already stepped right in with starting offense. Imani wasn't going to play this year unless she could hit the 3 consistently so she decided to leave instead of putting hours in the gym getting stronger and being part of a team that could make the Final Four this year!
 
Baylor just had several top players at their elite camp, including Lauren Cox. If they sign one or two from that camp, they will be loaded.

Normally I think your comments are pretty insightful into the Baylor program. But this really sounds like sour grapes. Wright was your second leading scorer last year.

Not sour just satisfied with her decision to leave. Not a fan of hers in the first place and with what we have coming in, it's no big loss! It just speaks volumes about her character in that she would rather quit instead of having to fight for playing time.

Did this come from Imani's mouth herself? Or by hear say? Just doesn't sound right coming from a player. Ballots roster would of been at 17 total if her or small would of stayed.
 
A particular poster should change her/his user name to "Got Mulked!!"
 
Just cuz I'm a fan of Baylor doesn't necessarilly mean that I like every single athlete. There are a few that I don't care for and wish them the best of luck elsewhere. Imani falls into that category, but Smalls does not. She is a good talent and could prolly start at any other D1 school but just wasn't given a chance to prove it. I have been to several practices over the years and haven't seen many that leave it all on the floor like Smalls. The only others that come to mind are Odyssey, Melissa Jones, Sophia Young, and Shelia Lambert. Everytime Smalls was on the court in a game, she was very timid scared to make a mistake and be benched. I can see reason in her decision to leave with her playing time so limited. On the other hand, I do not believe in quitters just cuz it got tough on and off the court as in the classroom!

If a player is afraid to make a mistake,that's on the coach. A coach is supposed to create an atmosphere where kids aren't afraid to make mistakes. Personally, I wouldn't want a kid playing for Kim.

I suspect these kids are leaving because it just isn't fun playing basketball in Waco for Kim.

Good for her! Glad to see her go to a good team with a good coach. Kinda scary that 2 players leave Baylor and go to elite level teams like Maryland and FSU. What does that say about the talent we have coming in to run them off??
