How come OU didn't get the ball out of bounds after the technical? I'm guessing it was because Heild was shooting a foul shot. If it was discussed elsewhere I apologize. Just watched the game on DVR.

Possession reverts to the point of interruption, which was Buddy shooting FTs. Woodard's was a dead ball contact technical which automatically gives the offended team possession.

Is it a dead ball after a made basket? The clock was running.

Did OU even get foul shots? Wasn't Buddy already going to the line. That seemed very strange to me when I watched it.

Yes. I think Fran mentioned it on the broadcast that the ball is dead once it goes through the hoop until the defensive team controls the ball out of bounds, thus becoming the offensive team. So, basically, if Woodard would have taken one more step to get out of bounds, then shoved the ball into Adrian's chest, it would have been a live ball tech.

I think that's right, but it may not be live until actually thrown inbounds. Pretty sure it's correct though.

He made 1 out of 2 and then made his 2 FT's for the foul.

Wasn't it after his "and 1" basket? Only shot 3 free throws. They never really showed what the technical was for either (if they did I missed it).

Yeah, I think you're right. In any case, he made of the 2 technical free throws.

Thanks - I missed that nuance.
