I don’t know how anyone can be worried about Mateer. I thought he was good. I also didn’t think the line was too bad. Barnes missed holes & Mateer routinely had tons of time. Defense can be remarkable with Dolby & Eli Bowen back.

Sure, but Jaxson Hayes could’ve helped too. Reddick was set on going small. Also Williams is skilled & is better with the ball than being a lob threat. I don’t think he would’ve fit well or been near the difference they needed to beat Minnesota.

Wade is a much better slasher and making quick/decisive moves. Also Wade & Bron were in their primes & had a prime Bosh. The fact they didn’t win 4-5 speaks on how much fit matters. Lebron & Luka probe a long time & neither (especially Luka) do well off the ball. Also both are minus defenders...

And their styles to not mesh at all.

Again my point is Holiday makes good/great teams better because of his skill set. Good/great teams don’t need to be carried so Dame’s skill set is less needed. If your team is middle of the pack or worse then Dame is better for that team. If you’re top 8 looking to win a ship then Jrue is better.

That’s never been my argument. The entire time I’ve said Holiday makes a bigger impact on good/great teams than Dame would. Dame is better for average to below average teams. Milwaukee Bucks were a really good team that got worse with Dame. The Celtics were a really good team that got better...

Ok what contending team would Lillard be better for over Holiday? I’ve never said Lillard isn’t going to be viewed as the better player. I’m saying if I have a good/great team Holiday will improve the team more than Lillard.

Yeah defense doesn’t get you on all star teams. I’m taking Holiday on my team over Dame.
