Again my point is Holiday makes good/great teams better because of his skill set. Good/great teams don’t need to be carried so Dame’s skill set is less needed. If your team is middle of the pack or worse then Dame is better for that team. If you’re top 8 looking to win a ship then Jrue is better.
He was hurt almost the whole year in Holiday’s last season and they still got the #1 seed.
Middleton played most of the year Lillard’s 1st season and the got the #3 seed. Last year, yes, Middleton was hurt most of the season.
The Bucks did not get out of the 1st round either year with Lillard...
That’s never been my argument. The entire time I’ve said Holiday makes a bigger impact on good/great teams than Dame would. Dame is better for average to below average teams. Milwaukee Bucks were a really good team that got worse with Dame. The Celtics were a really good team that got better...
Ok what contending team would Lillard be better for over Holiday?
I’ve never said Lillard isn’t going to be viewed as the better player. I’m saying if I have a good/great team Holiday will improve the team more than Lillard.
How is he a better overall player? Dame is a better shooter & scorer but his percentages are lower than Holiday, because he’s a volume player. Dame in his prime was a top 3 offensive PG, and not even in the top 40 on defense. Holiday was (for a longer time) a top 3 defensive PG, and top 15 on...
I didn’t say Dame wouldn’t make those teams better. I like how long Dame stayed with Portland, I like how he seems to be a good person, I liked how he accepted his role on team USA, I liked Dame.
I have only made the argument that I’d rather have Jrue Holiday & that he makes contending teams...
Ok what contending team gets better with Dame instead of Holiday? In the playoffs weaker defenders get hunted & defensive physicality ramps up, Holiday is primed for both of those.
I agree Dame is better at getting average teams into the playoffs.
Well the Milwaukee Bucks got worse with Dame. Holiday also was just as good offensively on with the Bucks while being a ridiculously better defender. So I could care less about his so called gravity.
