the sad fact is that whatever our nil budget is this season....it's going to cost $millions to just participate in college basketball. forget about national championships/conference championships......we probably end up bottom half of the sec again.

we're still one important piece away from a solid roster that can compete in the sec. we saw the last few seasons how far u get with only 4. if budget is the reason we can't get a starting center...next season will be another one on or near the bubble.

if he can step out and actually make a decent % beyond the arc....and play a little defense...he can help. northweather and freeman just couldn't make outside shots...and they couldn't do much inside either.

only in stature... i see posters say it all the time....."x player needs to gain weight". well....depends on their game....and skillset

so really based on nothing but "no one has ever done it and i don't expect these guys to either"... did u say the same thing about buddy? cousins? occasionally players are good enough to contribute as freshmen. some like trae/fears/blake....others like buddy/cousins/willy/ it happens.

based on what? the video i've seen of blair...he looked pretty good. physically looked pretty big/strong. yeah holst is thin but so is chet holmgren.

pm played fears as a freshman. didn't seem hesitant about that. maybe he plays freshmen who he thinks are ready to help win. if pm doesn't sign another center....he will be forced to play rogers a lot of minutes....after wague gets in foul trouble.

hope you're right. have u seen him play against full grown sec center types?
