You’re probably right but players are still entering the portal. Plenty of good players left. See what OU can scrap together here.

They needed to make the offer not be NIL but rev share is how it was explained to me because that's the main difference between the OU offer vs Cincinnati offer.

Rev share isn’t subject to review by the CSC (or whatever it’s called). So I guess rev share money is “safer”.

I attempt to be optimistic at least until we get to the conference slate, but good heavens, this offseason is pretty depressing thus far. There will be more guys entering the portal and available in the next few weeks, but man.....it seems we are missing on everyone that we pursue.....sigh.

Which is part of the reason I’ve said I liked the kid as a player, but didn’t love the fit next to Brown. Not sure how well they would be able to play off each other.

2 starters returning, 3 total that played a ton of minutes and a 4th guy that played (should have played more early IMO) might have some of the most returning continuity in all of P5 basketball teams. Problem is you need 2-3 SEC level players as who knows what the decently rated 4 star wing and 2 portal commits will bring to the table.

Problem is you need 2-3 SEC level players as who knows what the decently rated 4 star wing and 2 portal commits will bring to the table.

Put another way, we lost our three best players, 4 of our top 5 players, and 5 of our top 6 if you count the Russian.

Simply retaining Brown, Reid, Rogers, and Forsythe isn't enough. This roster needed considerable talent from the Portal to replace the guys that left. Doesn't look like we're going to get it.
