I said he’s a great player but that greatness is overstated when he played on a “super” team and the league props him up so much. He’s not better than MJ or Kobe and his impact on the game is substantially less than those that came before him.

I agree with you. We aren’t one player away from anything. For this particular offseason, I’d be fine with getting who we can without wasting a lot of money. We should be able to field a tourney team without breaking the bank.

That’s not true. It was $1 million, maybe a little more. Your sources are either lying to you or they’re just wrong. Most of the numbers are inflated but OU paid big for the DT and held off offers from other SEC schools.

While you make some good points, none of that supports him being “secure”. The buyout will be less next year and there’s no possible way he can survive 4 years of missing the tourney. We are just waiting another season to cut ties because it’s cheaper.
