it depends .. will the other games be sub 300 teams .... or teams from 150-200 that makes a massive differenceWaiting for the atta boys to start rolling in...
Yep, that was my bigger concern than how many tough games we played or where we played them.it depends .. will the other games be sub 300 teams .... or teams from 150-200 that makes a massive difference
An on-campus game*!
*campus of the University of Illinois-Chicago
At this point, it really doesn’t matter. As is, the non-conference is solid.it depends .. will the other games be sub 300 teams .... or teams from 150-200 that makes a massive difference
Be nice to see another decent home game or two. Not that I'll likely be able to attend but sheesh, has PM given up entirely on the home fans?
OU — not just Moser — has rightly given up on playing power 5 non-conference home games early in the season because NO ONE goes.Be nice to see another decent home game or two. Not that I'll likely be able to attend but sheesh, has PM given up entirely on the home fans?
Some of the big non con games are strategically scheduled when students are out for winter break. The opponents do not want to come in with students. Attendance still bad, but if we played a good team at home in November before thanksgiving, what would that look like!OU — not just Moser — has rightly given up on playing power 5 non-conference home games early in the season because NO ONE goes.
I posted the figures from the last decade + the other day. They’re abysmal, and it doesn’t matter if we’re ranked, undefeated, etc.,
Moser just signed an outstanding portal class and has, accordingly, beefed up the NC schedule.
What does he get for it? MORE complaining.
I will never understand this logic.I'm NOT in favor of increasing the difficulty at the top of the OOC schedule, while continuing to play teams at the very bottom. What I really wanted to do was bring the floor up rather than raise the ceiling, so to speak.
I will never understand this logic.
Playing Samford, New Mexico State, (insert decent mid major here), etc., is useless.
It doesn’t improve your resume at all, but can absolutely kill it if you happen to get upset. There’s simply no upside to it.
I’m all for playing Marquette, Gonzaga, etc., but the remaining games SHOULD be gimmes vs. Prairie View A&M.
We’re going to play 20 or more Quad 1 games, it won’t make a bit of difference if we have 3-4 Quad 4 opponents.
It’s staggering how little you guys understand how metrics work. And the most amazing thing is that all of the info is out there. Some of you are just being willfully ignorant at this point.Exactly... just like Ive said on repeat we go 9-4 in the non con last year... we dont get in.
do you think NET matters??? SOS ranking ?? ect ..I will never understand this logic.

Our SOS last season was 41. That’s acceptable. 79 the year before was not.do you think NET matters??? SOS ranking ?? ect ..
look back at the schedules under Lon ... still were easy on paper .. but helped OU massively in the metrics
what was the OOC sos??Our SOS last season was 41. That’s acceptable. 79 the year before was not.
We’re playing Marquette, Gonzaga and Nebraska next season. There will be a game vs. an ACC opponent and we have Oklahoma State in OKC.
That’s five solid, or better, OOC games. I bet there will be 1-2 more PLUS 18 SEC games.
What more do you want???
I’d prefer to go 8-10 in the SEC. That brings up your NET ranking just the same.OU would have been 10 spots higher in the NET just trading the 300+ teams with 200 + teams ... with almost no risk of a loss
