This was one of the most puzzling things to me. Why was he suddenly not playing after being such a regular part of the rotation? I was pleased with the minutes from Rogers in the tourney… hopefully we can bring him back next year for some post depth.
It was impossible for OU to get anything called in the paint the last 15 minutes of regulation and OT. Attacking the basket like that, getting contact every time, and no free throws out of it is not to be expected. It certainly made it tougher to close out the game.
I, for one, did not think Moser was whiny and complaining in the press conference. I’m excited to get the chance to watch this team play a few more games and I do think it can play out positively for keeping guys/recruiting out of the portal for next season.
There’s something to be said that the team never totally fell apart and is playing harder than ever. The ability to hold the team together after that losing streak is nothing to take for granted. And yet, those were some bad losses.
It seems like it would be tough to fire him after the way this...
Another post game thought - why has Moser been so committed to this same starting 5 all season? If you’re #1 and undefeated, sure, that’s something to hang your hat on. But when you’re in the bottom 25% of the conference and lost 9 straight…
Pack is just so bad on offense when he’s not hitting shots. The ball goes to him, he dribbles aimlessly for way too long, and the offense gets nothing out of the possession.
Side bar - this team has some of worst screening and worst offensive spacing I’ve ever seen. How often do we have one...
Pack is just so so bad. If he’s not making shots, he contributes nothing and just kills the offense and any ball movement the team might hope to have. Head down, dribble around aimlessly with his right hand, that’s all you’re gonna get.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but the team seems to work...
