It’s definitely not. Illinois is right up there with us historically, maybe even ahead of us. They have a sneaky good history. The mess Moser created makes it a no-doubter currently.
Sounds like the hire is imminent, within days.
Don't know if the guy has much of a basketball program since he has been more involved with football at Illinois. But if it truly happens within a few days, I hope he comes with a pink slip ready for MMM.
The Indiana/Miami game drew the biggest TV audience of any non-NFL sporting event since 2016. I’ve argued for years that all the complaints and predictions that college sports are dead are flat wrong. People whine and complain and say NIL and portal are ruining sports and that they don’t care as...

I sometimes hear people argue that it isn't a coach's fault if players commit dumb mistakes or turn the ball over, because "they obviously don't teach them to do that." But I also think it is pretty clear in all sports...
I'm always reluctant to try to assess that kind of thing from the outside. No one really knows what goes on at practice and in the locker room. Not saying you are wrong, just that it is hard to know. And when teams play poorly, people always point to a lack of leadership or chemistry. FWIW...
