#13 OU vs #20 Alabama 1:30pm 3/2

91-84 win. Payton with 24, Reagan 22/11 and Sahara 15 and our depth was big as our bench outscored them 22-3. Outrebounded them 47-35 and we got to the free throw line 31 times making 24. They did hit 13 3s to make it a game where you didn’t feel comfortable until the last minute.

We are the 5 seed in the SEC tournament. We will play the winner of the 12/13 game…Georgia vs Arkansas on Thursday.

I think this win guarantees us no worse than a 4 seed and hosting the 1st and 2nd round games.

Lloyd Noble was rocking today! It was a very competitive game, with a lot of good individual performances. I'm glad we went and got to enjoy the win.

Very good win but kinda sad barely any response on this board regarding the game.
The big time loser men's team gets much more comments.

That was a big win! I'm proud of the LNC, Jennie was able to ask for some noise and the crowd delivered.

Interesting to see all the teams lose this week that were in front of us on the 3 line. Tennessee x 2, UNC x 2 this week. We gotta be knocking on the door for a 3 seed. I like a strong first round win and now we get to play Kentucky with Liz Scott after that horse **** call that had her sitting out when we played them at home. Don't let Amore have a career night and bring on South Carolina.

unfortunately the loudest people on this board just like to complain. That being said, jdizzle said it was a good win and I never, ever thought i would see jdizzle say something positive.

Verholst and beers are just really really good pkayers. Per the usual under jennie the team is improving thru the year. Thought we had a pretty low ceiling the last couple years but nothing they do will surprise me this year. Mainly due to beers, an improved bea and a healthy liz. We are just way more competitive in the paint

That was one of the most enjoyable WBB games I have attended at OU. The team and the crowd were totally in sync. The crowd really seemed knowledgeable about the game. It was a great way to finish off the regular season. In addition to Beers and Verhulst IMO Williams is also at that high level. Our three McDonalds AAs are stellar!

Ladies are coming around. Anything can and usually does happen in the NCAA tourney, but we might just take a fun ride this year in the tourney. Won't surprise me at all. Our weakness is as KC, I and others have discussed throughout the year, silly turnovers. But, I think we are cleaning a lot of that up. IMO, Beers, an improved Bea C, and a healthy Liz Scott make us capable of just about anything.

Oh, and Payton absolutely should have been first team SEC. Put everyone in a hopper, and give me first pick, I might take her (it would be close between Payton or a couple of the centers in the league). She would be my first pick on the perimeter though. Most fundamentally sound basketball player at OU since Whitney Hand, boys or girls.

Payton's game has always reminded me of Whitney Hand, too. Very glad she's on our team!

It's just a stacked, stacked league, so not everyone can be honored appropriately. For example, Izzy Higginbottom of Arkansas led the entire league in scoring (5th in the nation) and was snubbed from every all-SEC team. Maybe Payton will feel snubbed and have something to prove and will have some monster postseason games!

She's Mrs Landry Jones now, but you probably knew that. One of several players whose careers were significantly altered by knee injuries, Maddie Manning for example

I will never forget during whitney’s senior year she had a tough game and someone on here said something negative about her and her dad responded (no one knew he was on the board) and her just nicely stated that the person might consider the number of surgeries she had undergone to even play for us. Don’t remember the number of surgeries but it was a crazy amount.

Whit is one of my all time favorites
