#13 OU vs #6 LSU 2pm 1/18

Chavez, as a freshman, is one of those players that drops your floor and raised your ceiling. She needs to keep working on getting everyone involved, particularly Peyton, and the team needs to keep working off of her. She is taking too many bad shots, particularly early in games. Hopefully, Jennie will continue to work with her on these issues. She needs to understand the team is not there so she can play basketball the way she wants, and instead, she is there to make the team better. But this is tough to balance with a kid like Chavez, you don't want to take away the things that make her special.

That’s just because they’re not expecting a pass from her. Hahaha
Jennie can help her be great, or lose fans and players. Up to her. Season can still be a success.
lol maybe so.. on the passes. The couple I’ve seen were behind the back type… they haven’t played with someone like that.

Hey I’m hoping Coach hasn’t sold out to get her

It’s what the people are saying. But if they did, that’s on them.

unfortunately we have to endure our annual thumping by South Carolina before we see another game we can win. If LSU blasted us I don't even want to know what SC ends up doing to us. I'm just sad this season hasn't ended up better. Somehow I told myself this would be a better season than last season, despite losing so much experience and not bringing in diddly squat in the portal - what a fool I was for not realizing you just can't compete in this conference with only 3 bench players, all of which have little to zero P4 playing experience. Our seed has already plummeted to a #5 seed, which means we won't host. Maybe for the best that this happens and these girls feel disrespected a bit before they get better?

And then you have the bench which have to grow up early, but also go through freshman adversity and doubts of being good, while being needed to perform. I bet we hit the portal the year. South Carolina is beatable and turnover prone lately. Can we force those and benefit from them or give the midrange over and over? Going to have to accept a growing year record, and hope we get a true center again.
