82-66 win. Really strong 2nd half….much better defense in the 2nd half and we got a great performance by Zya. Balanced scoring…15 for Payton, 14 for Skylar, 13 for Lexy, 11 for Zya and 10 for Sahara. We held our turnovers to 15 and forced 18 from Missouri. Big offensive rebounding game.

Speaking of Vandy, I saw that Mikayla Blakes was at it again. She put up 55 on Auburn yesterday, topping her 53 point effort against Florida earlier this year.

I loved that play where Verholz intercepted and barely saved the ball from going out of bounds and pushed it to L Scott who dribbled then passed to Williams on the run who one handed it to R Scott running under the basket for a layup. Magic. I think Vanderbilt has a guard oriented team. When Beers is in we need to cash in on her shooting. And otherwise play small ball with Liz Scott at the running post.

Fwiw, I checked their stats out over @ espn.com & saw that they have a 6’2” F who’s averaging basically a double-double (21 & 10) herself, with a high of 42. I think it’s pretty safe to say the gals are going to have their work cut out for them.
