2014 PF Jackson Davis

Probably means we are out for sure on Cunningham (IU lock) and not sure on the "The Spyda"- D'Angelo Allen
 
Senior Jackson Davis of Lafayette HS scored 42 points and 17 rebounds against Henry Clay on 2/18/14. He had 32 points and 14 rebounds against Scott County on 1/24/13.
Jackson has been nominated for Mr. Basketball Ky. He has a 3.9 GPA. Jackson averages 25 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks, steals and assists per game. He is Lafayette's All-Time Leading Scorer, Rebounder and Shot Blocker.
 
If Lon likes him, sign me up. Didn't see anything I didn't like.

A lot to like here also. Well spoken kid, too. Was committed to Rice, I guess? Opened things back up. Seems to me like more kids are decommitting or holding out until spring fishing for better offers than in years past.

Eh, I don't hold Arent against LK. When you come in that late in the year, and you need a few more bodies, you kind of have to take what is available. He hasn't missed since. :)
 
Nobody mentioned his connection to OU? Have we recently offered? Has he mentioned us in an article? Visiting soon?

wish we could have seen what hamilton had too, but thats what you get with jucos
 
Really liked what I saw there. If Buford does indeed play the 3 after our sophomore guards graduate this kid looks like the perfect replacement for Spangler. Really liked how fluid he looked for a 6'8 post.
 
Considering his luck w JUCOs versus the performance of his HS recruits.
I'd be fine if Lon didn't sign a juco again.
 
Seems like a more academically minded kid. Like he'd want a better combination of hoops and academics than what OU can offer.

Coach, what are you hearing on Spyda and any other prospects for the LSP?

Spyda AAU coach said they everyone was starting to give him calls and Spyda was open.
Didnt really mention who was calling...

I think its down to spyda and the new guy, but I'm sure there are other prospects out there. Seems like they want to sign a PF/SF type...

I then assume its mostly guards next year...
