Needs his own thread!

Oklahoma just got better

Does Sherfield need a waiver? Has Bamisile received a waiver yet?

just in case someone hasn't seen some highlights yet

Huge pickup. This kid is a player. He makes us a much better team.

The thing I love about him is that, even though he has been a high usage player, he has been efficient. He’s a good shooter who’s often required to take tough shots at Nevada. I expect to see his 3 point percentage increase with better supporting cast.

He is going to make Jalen Hill look like a star with his passing ability,

Nice control in this highlight, reminds me of the TX guard that played with KD. Looks bigger tho

He'll need to shoot it better (both from 3 and from 2), but there are likely reasons to believe he can improve on that. Good FT shooter. I haven't watched much film, but I'm wondering if his size (or lack thereof) is a reason for the low FG percentage? Like maybe he drives in too far and can't finish over bigger players?

He'll definitely be a better playmaker than Goldwire. Hopefully the kid plans to stay around for 2 seasons. Really like the idea of him in his second year at OU, and the player he could be at that point. He'll likely need to adjust to the structure of Moser's system.

Edit: How is the kid as a defender?

I'd be stunned if he stays two years. And I don't know that we should be hoping for him to stay, because in all likelihood, he would only do that if his season doesn't go as well as he would like.

The Athletic just updated their list of best portal commits and they have Grant at number 7. They rave about his ability to create and his passing skills, call him a legit three-level scorer, and say he hits pull-ups at a reasonably efficient rate considering how many tough shots he took at Nevada. They think he and Tanner will work well together in the pick-and-roll. Side note I was unaware of: the synopsis mentions that Tanner led the nation in points off the roll. (I wonder if that means he is actually a Big 12 caliber player.)

NIL likely changes the game on kids like him. Why go to the G-League when you can make more in college. If he couldn’t get drafted averaging 20 & 6.5 as a sophomore then he’s likely not getting drafted.

I like this kid's ability to get a bucket and create for others. This is a good get....
