2023 prospects and offers

So with technically only one scholarship available for next year, do we just sign one more? Do we make the assumption someone else will leave, transfer and sign 2?

Folks will leave. Yes class will be 3 minimum I’d guess

It would be coaching malpractice to only sign one. Unless/until the current rules and climate change, there will never be an offseason without at least one player voluntarily leaving before their eligibility is up. And if that ever does happen, it would be a nice problem to have and you could encourage your 12th man to consider other options.

Let’s mobilize Blake griffin and Trae Young for this one.

Who’s a good comparison? Deandre Jordan?

I'm awful at comparisons but I see some Hassan Whiteside (when he was above average). Jordan is a good comp as well.

Kentucky seems like the choice.

Dang. Misread that and thought it said he’d reclassify and commit to OU after his visit. Oh well. Kentucky gets any 5 star they want.

Really glad OU gets a final visit. Could we play with Sherfield, Bam, Hill, T Groves, and Kinglsey in the lineup at the same time?

He'd play this year at OU. Not 13th man IMO. UK bound like most assume. BUT OU is paying for a visit so there is a chance

didn't mean 13th in ranking

meant he would take the last scholarship ..

and agreed if he is visiting there is a chance ..

Two ways to look at it....he made a decision at UK and reclassified accordingly?
However if OU felt it was a done deal to UK why spend the resources to bring him in?
As long as you get him on campus, you’ve got a punchers chance! Still likely a long shot!

Would be nice but duh, UK.

2. Oklahoma

Oklahoma head coach Porter Moser got the final visit for Kingsley. There is always something to be said for that. They also have playing time available immediately. Oklahoma has recruited him to be their starting center this season, with the opportunity to enter the 2023 draft.

Oklahoma’s chances: 5-percent
