2023 v 2024

I like our guard play but inside we are pretty vulnerable. Whoever used "bloodbath" in the SEC earlier might be right, unless our outside shooting can WAY overcome that glaring weakness. I'm glad Northweather is contributing more, but he is soft as a pillow inside defensively and gets next to no rebounds(besides one-offs). I was really hoping Wague would be more of a factor. Is the big from Missouri ever going to do anything?

Yaya. Will not ever play

Jury is still out. But if Fears and Moore stay healthy and out of foul trouble I think we are slightly better this year albeit even worse than last year at the 5. Going to have to win a lot of close games and hope opposing team bigs miss a lot of FTs when we can foul them. Regardless, I give Porter a lot of credit for pulling this team together, especially getting Fears.

This team seems far better mentally than last year. Our guards may be less athletic but frankly they are just better. Inside we are worse. Im not sure what happened to Godwin. He has to play better or we are likely going to be sweating on Selection Sunday. Right now id pick us 7-11 or so in conference.

What signs of mental weakness had we shown through nine games last season? For that matter, what weaknesses had our guards shown?
