18 million buyout
Not sure how they had it worse. They just didn’t put their fans through the misery of a fifth season. Heck, didn’t even let him finish his fourth. Credit to them. It’s not like KSU is swimming in money, but they did what’s best for the program rather than waiting around. You know we have it bad with Porter but they had it worse.
I would probably expect Capel to get fired as soon as their season ends.
He should, but his buyout is $15M. Pitt doesn't have the money. They're stuck with him.You know we have it bad with Porter but they had it worse.

Apparently Tang's buyout will be $0.
Have you seen his press conferences this year? He's disparaged players several times this year. That seems to be why he's getting firedIf you have an $18M buyout, you better keep your nose squeaky clean. Your employer will find any way and every way to get out of paying $18M.

Definitely one of those two because there is no way he and his attorneys will willingly walk away from $18M!It will be interesting to see if he challenges this in court and if it stands up. Or if they just negotiate a smaller buyout.
That’s a major stretch and I doubt it holds up in court.Have you seen his press conferences this year? He's disparaged players several times this year. That seems to be why he's getting fired
He's gonna take it to court
Their claim is that his comments after their game earlier this week are what violated his contract. I think they’ll have a hard time prevailing on that and it’ll likely end in a settlement, but that’s why you haven’t heard anything till now — it’s based on something that just happened. If Tang has brought "public disrepute, embarrassment, ridicule" to KSU, why haven't we heard about it prior? I smell BS...this is going to court. OU better not pull this nonsense. It's unethical. Don't blame the head coach because the AD was a dumb@$$.
