2026 Transfer portal

IMO probably the best guard in the portal right now. She played well against us in Tallahassee and she has two years of eligibility left.
 
I believe the 1st portal commitment of the spring season



By the way we did offer Solè Williams out of high school
 
I don’t know. Does Crooks fit our system? It does seem like it’s better to try and land her ourselves than to let another SEC team get her. Take both her and Brown?
 
I think Crooks is a solid fit culturally, but as far as speed of the game goes...idk about all that. Having had Beers and having had her be successful under JB does help our chances of landing a 'Big' but who knows. I do like the Iowa connection, AND that we are 1 of 4 schools apparently in on Addy Brown, maybe Crooks will want to follow her?
 
Crooks is so slow footed I don't think she fits our system....the slow footedness also makes her a sub par defensive center...I would rather get Addy Brown than Audi Crooks.

I will add Audi is an excellent offensive player in the half court…so somebody will pay a lot for her.

I would be surprised if JB goes after Crooks just don’t think she can fit her system and with Chavez Crooks would be at half court when Chavez let’s fly with a 3

I agree. For us, I think I’d rather have Addy Brown.
 
The only thing about Brown that concerns me is she had an extended break due to a serious back injury this past season. BAck injuries are usually chronic and come and go, but hopefully she's healed and will be able to play a full season healthy, wherever she ends up.

Rambus (6'3" foward) from Oregon also stated she's entering the portal, which would be another long, athletic player for us to keep an eye on. It's crazy to me that Tennessee and Iowa State have lost their entire roster except for incoming freshmen. I'll be surprising to me if we don't lose at least one player to the portal, but I keep my fingers crossed we don't.

Good point on Addy Brown…and regarding the portal it seems significantly more active than last year so you are also right on us…better than 50/50 we lose someone we would like to have stayed.

Knock on wood but the one contributing player that I think could improve her position by transferring is Smith. I think she is Sooner bred so she may not leave.
