Guys I must have missed it but what happened with the 6'10" kid that was to come in this week and look around?

thanks

scroll down about 22 post and it was reported that the new assistant went to his high school a few days ago to stay in touch. this is just my opinion. and it is what i would do and what i believe kruger will do. he and his staff are probably evaluating their current talent thru game films and their 2 hr a week drills. and then comparing that to the recruits still available to sign. then they will sign as many new players that they can that are better than the current crop. i doubt that he would have taken the job unless he was given the latitude to do that. if he can find the players, i expect to see another 2/3 off last years team get bounced.

2/3, thats 8 players!?! You think there are 8 better players out there this late in recruiting!?! Even if there were, do you think he could get all of them here!?! Your maddness is astounding! Maybe youre joking and I'm not seeing it... god i hope so

idk if there are a whole lot better players then the ones we already have, but there have been alot of players recently opening their recruiting back up so maybe we can get in on one of those talents

I think he was saying two slash three, as in two or three, not two thirds.

i did mean 2 or 3. and i hope he can find enough out there to get that done. and my point is that a coach like kruger probably wants to be judged on the decisions he makes starting right now. not the decisions capel made. and if he thinks that he can sign 2,3,4,5, or 6 that will help him win next season, he will.

But with the possibility of the NCAA taking away a scholarship or two and an already horrific graduation record, how many players can Kruger afford to boot out the door?

how many could they afford to run off? i think the answer is all of them. fitz is probably good enough to play at oklahoma. kelvin won consistantly with players of simular ability and desire. clark is so athletic and seems to have alot upside. so, he would be a keeper. as for the rest of them. we have seen them play. and the won/lost record speakes for itself.

Don't blame the w/l record entirely on the players.

you are right. and i don't. i'm sure the won/lost record would benifit from the coaching change with the current players and the addition of osby. last years group was committed, played hard, and never quit. but, to finish in the top half of the conference and make the tourney every year kruger will need more talent. if he can find some of it this signing period, i'm all for him. even at the expense of dropping some players on the current roster.
