#7 OU at Missouri 3pm 3/1

This is one we nearly let slip away on account of just plain old undisciplined, sloppy play. Which I can't believe I'm still having to bring up in the very last game of the regular season. I know a lot of it is the fact that we don't have much debt and we've got to keep a good portion of our starters in at all times and the girls are getting tired after a long season, but that's on the coaching staff. Just way too many fouls that gave the opponent free points and of course turnovers.... We must play better than this if we want to win any games from this point on!

Well Jennie ever get better as an HC? The ceiling for this team is so low, because they don't value the ball. So sloppy. Been a hallmark of her teams since getting here.

Until it improves, OU is a sweet 16 team, nothing more, with a change to lose basically any NCAA tourney game.

They definitely weren't as focused as they have been over the past few games, which isn't surprising.

This hasn’t been a great road team. A lot of that has to do with the young ones. Im new to this board. Does anyone pay any attention to jdizzle? He seems, well, contrary.

If you think 12 turnovers is a lot you haven't been watching much women's basketball and OU in particular. One of our major weaknesses IMHO is on ball defense without fouling. We let a girl today who isn't even a starter go off for 33 points. That cannot happen.. but hey an ugly win beats losing.

I remember Billy Tubbs saying once that no player or team is going to play their best every single game. It's impossible. He said he wanted to save those 'best games' for the best opponents.

Our record is 23-6. Three of the 6 losses were to potential #1 seeds. We beat the other potential #1 seed in OT. The other 3 losses were to teams that were ranked in the top 20 at the time. We are on a 6 game winning streak and 3 of those 6 games were ranked opponents. We have 2 Seniors and 1 Junior. Everyone else is a freshman or a sophomore. And by the way, did anyone else notice how well Caya Smith played today?

Game almost put me to sleep. Intensity not there. Those that want high playing times for starters got their wish. Hate women's basketball officiating. Allow mahem on one play and ticky tack calls on the next play.

For those who expect a national championship team every year, good luck. The painful truth is our woman's program will never have the money needed to have that level of a team. South Carolina had 3 players getting over a million dollars this year and with a top 3 recruiting class for next year you can bet one or two more. Texas probably as much and also UConn. Football at OU will always get the money.

We shot 3's better but we still are not too good from there. We do much better with ball and player movement, midrange shots and high use of Beers.

Amazed at how much 06 hates our coaching staff.

We were excellent in the 1st and 3rd quarters but the intensity/focus fell off in the 2nd and 4th quarters. Some of that had to do with managing lineups/foul trouble. Some very questionable calls as always but we ultimately overcame it.

Shannon Dowell is a really good player for Mizzou.

A 6 game winning streak (including 3 against ranked teams) heading into the postseason is a great place to be in after the debacle at Vanderbilt. This team is getting better. Take care of business in the first tournament game, and I'm willing to bet the matchup against LSU will be closer than it was the first time.

They weren’t. Had a very easy game vs Arkansas and Senior Night. I think we tend to play to the level of our competition too. They’ll be ok. I have noticed them slowing down a tad bit with an extra pass or three. Looks good when they do, just need to quit forcing it in when one is covered by 2 or 3 girls. But, I’m just nitpicking and that’s a good thing. Adjusting to questionable fouls and a lot of them is never easy. Also, to the one who called Dowell a bench player, she’s always been very good. And they were smart attacking knowing they were getting the calls. She also seemed to have one of those very good nights, as the commentators seemed surprised at all the finished shots. Which comes at being scared to guard her because of the whistle. These ladies are tired and still finding ways to win not at their best with a very inexperienced roster.

She threw up a few prayers that went in. She was good at throwing herself into the defender.
