#9 OU vs #5 Texas 8pm 1/2

I really hope we come out ready to play immediately and aren't not cold. Their defense will be similar to LV's but even better and we know how the 1st half of that game was. I don't want us to have to claw back from a deficit against this team, for sure. I hope we up our defensive intensity and make smart decisions on both sides of the ball. I believe we only play them once this season, so this one is pretty big, especially since we have Tennessee up after UT, as both teams are legit and we could easily lose both if we don't play our best. I think we can win both if we are our best versions of ourselves too. Excited to watch tonight!!
 
lol.. more poor coaching. Sorry, again I look at it from a technical angle. Very poor in bounds play after a basket.. we were lucky only 1 got picked off.

Coach JB is not coaching at all today. She's just sitting there crouch and watching the game as a spectator. We let Texas come back from a 12-point deficit to take a one-point lead going into halftime mainly because our girls were throwing the ball to absolutely no one and we were fouling Texas's big sinner who was hitting every free throw. Miss free throws, a gaggle of fouls and unnecessary turnovers and were giving the game away at this point to a team that honestly is not very impressive.

We’re actually pretty lucky we only turned that inbound pass over 1 time. All those others were floaters that were close.

No movement 2nd qtr. just standing around
 
Our passing has been suspect all season. Finally showing against sec caliber teams…

I’m guessing not much better than .500 in conf play. Need to look at full schedule.

Most of our sec schedule the teams have only 0,1 maybe 2 losses. Heck vandy who isn’t ranked… is 14-0.

We do have about 5 games against the bottom 5-6 teams

I'm really disappointed in how absolutely horrible we have played tonight. We are just throwing the ball away with absolutely nothing forcing it. We're just passing it to no one and then Texas turns around and scores. Game over pretty much at this point we're down with less than 2 minutes
 
Need to play joens. They need 3 point shooters to spread the floor and open it up for beers.
 
Texas was able to turn the game into the physical brawl type game they wanted. Really physical denial defense and we were unable to execute our offense in the 4th quarter and made lots of woeful passes that they got a hand on and stole or we just threw it out of bounds. Beers made 2 early bad fouls that got her out of the game…only 4 minutes played in the 1st half. Then 2 more fouls in Q3 and she ended up only playing 16 minutes…she has to play smarter and avoid that kind of foul trouble.

On the positive side we dominated the boards and it was 60-60 after the 3rd quarter. We just needed to execute in the 4th and we couldn’t. Also a good crowd at the game..I would guess about 7,500 in attendance.

Next game another tough one in Knoxville on Sunday.
 
We won't beat Tennessee. For some reason I feel like any team that can match us and athleticism is going to be like an Achilles heel for us. Maybe beers will have a better game though. After watching how sloppy we play tonight I'm just really down about what this team can do against teams of equal or better talent. Might need a day or two to recover from this disappointment LOL
 
Would like to see someone else start over Nevaeh. Personally I feel like she makes Oklahoma have a big drop off with her in the lineup. I feel Zya or Reyna should be starting over her. She just hasn’t been as great this year. Yet.
 
Talent is desperately needed for this team, and the 2025 recruiting class ain't it. Unless they get Chavez (likely not happening after this performance), the chasm will widen between UT and OU, just like in football.
