Living in Vegas, and listening to our sports radio station daily, I have heard many, many Kruger interviews. He gives a great interview, is articular, and comes off as an all-around good guy.

Also, he's been very active in the Las Vegas community, in charities, etc.

I love this hire. We got ourselves a good coach, who will represent OUr university well.

Welcome aboard Coach Kruger. Glad you could convince the Ms. to leave Las Vegas!

He's a great basketball coach but I'm sure all of this info really came into play in choosing to go after Lon. Sounds like Boren kind of hire! He really values the off the court/field behavior!

Agree. Living here too, I've been hoping for Kruger ever since the "Who would you replace Capel with" began.

I'm genuinely excited about OU basketball now, for the first time since Blake left.

That's good to hear. It's been so long since I've really paid attention to him I was wondering how he was personality-wise.

What is the talk about his assistants? I briefly scanned the UNLV Rivals board a couple of days ago and there seemed to be some posters who wanted some changes made on that front.

Steve Henson has a really good reputation. I hope Lon can bring him with.

Some rumors out here about UNLV possibly offering him the HC position. I doubt they're true/accurate.

To me the obvious hire for UNLV is Dave Rice. BYU #1 assistant and his brother is the coach at Bishop Gorman.

never mind. I thought you were saying Kruger should hire Rice to come with him to Norman. Which would be a fabulous idea. my bad
