I'll take it! Sometimes you've got to crawl before you can walk and eventually run at full speed. Losing can develop into a culture, just like winning did once. It's something we all took for granted for a very long time.

Don't know about you, Ada, but that's something I'll never do again!

Never say never. Look at the football fans. In 1998 virtually no Sooner fan would have dreamed of complaining about a 10 win season or a coach that has averaged almost 11 wins a season in his tenure but if you go to a football board you will see numerous fans doing just that.

It is great to see OU getting some positive press. If we can just get Randle.

The story is that OU is undefeated since inserting true freshman Buddy Hield into the starting lineup after 2 December losses by a combined 4 points and is rapidly improving.

I'll take Denver's advice and never say never. You can believe one thing, though. I will try to be more appreciative of any success we have in the future.

I'm saying never. I learned from the '90s and it's changed my outlook on OU football forever. I'm as ardent a fan as ever, but I celebrate every single win and appreciate even moderately successful seasons. I remember all too well what it felt like to be average and below.

I hope and trust this (thankfully) briefer dip in our hoops fortunes will have a similarly positive impact on my outlook going forward.

When you've reached my age, you're entitled to say whatever you like. :ez-laugh:

Bingo. I was at OU from 88 to 93, so I have always enjoyed very good to great Hoops success. I was humbled by the Blake and Schnelly years enough that although games like the Cotton Bowl piss me off, I certainly appreciate where we are as a team. I will never take a 20-12 year and NCAA 6 seed for granted again. That type of season was a yawner just a few short years ago. I think we'll get back there, and I know I will appreciate it when we do.

Oh Geez, isn't that the truth!!! You'd think the world DID end last month!
