any recruiting news for next season?

DM, that is my biggest concern with Capel. OU hasn't been successful over the past 10 years by signing 5 star high school guys. We have had a ton of JUCO guys that have been instrumental in our success. Hopefully this season will help Capel learn that wasting a bunch of time and energy on guys like Harrison Barnes could actually be counter productive for us.

I have no problem with him signing those guys, but you can't wait on them. If you're John Calipari maybe, but not at OU. Heck, not at KU. They've been stung a few times in recruiting waiting on some guys. Their two highest rated guys over the last few years fell into their laps when you talk about Rush and Henry. Go after Barnes, but if he doesn't sign, sign someone else quickly. Last year we didn't sign one guy in the spring when we clearly needed atleast two, especially with Patillo leaving. This year, to even be competitive next year we need to sign atleast 4 this spring, IMO.

Well I'm afraid we've waited too long yet again. There's really not much of anything left out there when you look at 2010 high school guys. If some more juco names don't surface then we had better land both N'diaye AND t. jones or we're in trouble.

Not sure where you found that out but neither of those schools are on his list. Its OU, Washington and Oregon St.

Very good thoughts. Oklahoma is not in position to wait on multiple late signees if there are big holes to fill.

I do think adding 3 more contributors can make us very competitive next season.

Do we not have anyone tracking recruiting anymore? We had henzo doing it but I have not seen him post in a while.

I think it's been more of a situation where there's not alot of new info to report outside of N'daiya(hope that's right), and an the pg Neal. At least, not alot of new info that we know about.
