Tulsa World highlighted Mallory Vaughn today. She is a sophomore at Collinsville. They reported that she had 79 points, bunch of rebounds and 6 blocks in the last 3 games. They identified her as a 6'4 soph. Unbelievably and during this stretch, she made 32 of 40 shots and hit 15 of 17 free throws.

Just wondering if anyone has seen her play and if OU is recruiting her? Thanks.

Yes, she's very a Raw. Good shot blocker. Other than being 6'3-6'4, I'd like to see her go against Other Posts her size to develop her game.
Doesn't have many post moves other than turning around shooting.
Very young with lots of potential, but you really don't see a lot of
6'4 post players in oklahoma so she would just about dominate the post especially with the low level competition she's playing against.

Only a sophmore so tons of room to improve. If someone really worked with her,she could be a real problem.Still feeling herself out.

Vaughn is an average player at the post position at 6'4 she has no post moves at all none! I'll give her credit she can hit a lay-up, shoot free throws and rebound sometimes. I don't think right now she is ready for the Big 12 very raw player with a tremendous upside. If someone works with her she will be ready in two years but she is definitely not ready now!!!

This is one of the main benefits of visiting this board...we get a lot of first-hand knowledge of young players. Keep those posts coming!!!
