Aquira DeCosta's Final Five

And the standard response is: what is surprising about that?

I'm sure there's a kid from Canada or somewhere that is just as good.

I think OU had moved on a while ago... Catherine Reese has become that much more of a priority now. It seems like Sherri will normally focus on one elite prospect per position.

Catherine Reese Numbers have gotten better and better each season, and Avg 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Aquira is a great player on top of being a superb athlete. I don't know how much Sherri is in on reese no signs of home visits she seems to be more of a Colorado Ar PAC 12 lean just from visits. Still don't know what it is but it's always been stated Mulkey and reese won't play together if you go to hs for 4 years with a kid and that kid has an issue with you she prob isn't coming to OU if you are there . Again no idea if the truth just reading board. Reese doesn't seem to have the texas and baylors after her like most good Texas kids so that has we wondering what deal is. I wish OU would go after queen egbo. No idea if she would have interest in OU but the kid is just starting to reach her potential. She will be special in college.

It is a little strang that Aquira kept all the same schools, but dropped OU and added South Carolina... I still think she ends up at Louisville... with the recent article on Sherri I find it hard to believe that OU didn't talk to DeCosta about things other then basketball...

Wow Destiny Littleton just committed to Texas... they just got a dangerous scorer... Texas will be pretty deep, but I think they could have some issues playing Homles and Boothe together as a 4/5...

Booth will be the 3 if she makes it. They have big girl from school this year and will have prince next year

Holmes looks more like she could be a small forward then Boothe... I'm not sure Boothe would have the foot speed to keep up with some of the quicker small forwards...

Speaking of Cate Reese, there's a new story on ESPNW today.

Simmons said Arizona, South Carolina and Texas A&M have been pushing hard to sign Reese. But Reese said she has yet to decide on favorites.

She is grateful, however, that her parents have been involved, accompanying her on unofficial visits to numerous colleges. Reese said she prefers a warm-weather school but is open to all possibilities. So far, she has visited Colorado, Washington, SMU, Texas Tech, Baylor, Texas Christian, Oklahoma State, Rice, Arizona, South Carolina, Texas A&M and George Washington, and she has scholarship offers from all those schools.

"She's a phenomenal athlete," Ali said of her sister, who is a senior on the Cypress Woods team. "She has a huge passion for the game that I don't see in other people."
