got to see the game Sunday in person and came away with a couple of thoughts about the backcourt.

Would it be possible for the Sooners to play Young, James and McGusty together?

To me, Odomes, hasn't shown much improvement from last year - still no right hand or jump shot. His length and ability to play defense is nice and may be needed, but could he be the defensive stopper off the bench and McGusty and James start. Would be very dynamic scoring lineup.

The defensive minded portion of this board will likely poo-poo this thought, and they may be right, but I'd love to see those guys play together some.

Will we see Trey play off the ball some?

Loved Shepard's game yesterday. He is noticeable thicker - upper and lower body, especially across the chest he looks bigger. He no longer has that Austin Johnson body. Shep was decisive and quick, seemed confident. I was impressed with how he ran the team.

Seems like playing those two together would give LK some additional options. They did play together, I believe, in a couple of stints, wondered if LK might be considering this option.

Usually it's easier to bring scoring off the bench than defense. You want your best defender in so he can check the other teams best player from the tip. Now at the end of games you will see the better offensive players but I bet Odomes is still in the game because he's a good ball handler & passer.
