Tech's Board of Regents meeting just ended the reports are flying that they are staying in the Big 12. Also, it appears (per Chip Brown's latest report) that the Big 12's TV deals will expire in 2016. So either we'll go through realignment then or the Big 12 will stay together as 10 (or add new teams) with a new TV deal.

I think his confirming that ABC-ESPN would honor their tv contract until its expiration date enabled this conference to survive. AND I think that's a good thing. I will be surprised if two more teams are not added when tv contract renewal time rolls around. That's probably already being contemplated.
