He's not even close to Blake.
You probably want to read about Adams. He took his team to the NBA finals his rookie year. Blake hasn't been there yet. Alvan made a team better.

Blake has better averages but Alvin to date had 700 more total career points, 1,500 more rebounds, 500 more blocks and 1,300 more assist for his career.
It might be a just little early to just declare Blake the best. Give Blake another 3-4 years. But his time is coming barring injury or early retirement although he will never catch Alvin in blocks or assist.

Blake had a stranglehold on best NBA career a long time ago. If I'm not mistaken, Blake doubled our all-star appearances by year 2, and tripled them by year 4. He's now quadrupled them, and I think he has 1 or 2 left. Off memory, I think Adams and Mookie are the only other all-stars we've ever produced.
I don't care much for career totals. Give me one top 5 season over a decade of mediocrity. Landry Jones may have the most career passing yards at OU, but nobody pretends he's the best to sling it.
True but give a list of OU QB's with a better pro career. Perhaps he could sling it better than you give him credit. His teams did win 40 games in 4 seasons and 2 conference championships.
Also pressure on the QB could have had a major impact on Landry because of an absence of a running game. He had two seasons in which the Sooners averaged 3.3 and 3.6 yards per rushing attempts. Sam's last two full seasons they averaged 4.7 and 4.8. Also in Baker's 3 years they averaged 5.0, 5.4 and 5.6 y/ra and last year under Kyler it was 6.6.
It was easy to unload on Landry with his OL and no running game. His career rushing yardage was a -375.

Landry was good. Very good. In fact, I'd agree with you if you said that Landry was painfully underrated. I'm usually at the head of his fan club.
But you can't, in any way, claim that he had a better career than Baker Mayfield. You can't really make an argument about him having a better career than Sam or JW, either. You could make a case against Kyler, but I'm not sure I'd even accept that.
Right now, Buddy. In time, we might add another young PG.Outside of Bradford, wasn't Landry on an NFL roster longer than any other OU QB at that position?
Can't count Bobby Boyd who played DB in the NFL and was an OU QB.
"Indian" Jack Jacobs may have put in more years than Sam if you combine
NFL and CFL.
What would an all Sooner NBA team be:
Griffin, Adams, Tisdale, Blaylock and ?

By the numbers, I think Griffin will end up the best. But, I wonder if he will ever equal Alvan in one category which is kind of important? Alvan made his team a lot better. The puzzle was better than the pieces. I have yet to see Blake do that.
I don't understand this logic at all. Blake doesn't have any rings, but he put the Clippers on the map. That was the most successful run in franchise history before they stabbed him in the back.
So, they made it to the finals?
Semi-finals?
Won their division?
