  • Isaiah Austin is weak.
  • Iowa State is going to surprise someone in the NCAA tournament because of their skill at the guard positions.
  • Baylor plays BAD basketball despite incredible talent in the starting 5.
  • The separation between first place and sixth in terms of quality is a hair's width.
  • The Big 12 has a LOT of good freshman. A LOT.
  • Josh Gray is an Angel Rodriguez clone.
  • I would take Melvin Eijm for my team in a heartbeat.
  • Texas has a lot of ground to make up if they want to be good next year.

Interesting thoughts PNK...i have a few as well:

If we beat Baylor on Saturday, then they are in serious trouble with regards to making the tournament.

Iowa State isn't the best team in the conference, but for some reason, they scare me more than any other team in the conference.

The Big 12 tournament is wide open this year. I could see one of five teams winning it....and I couldn't give you a favorite today.

I think the Big 12 gets 5 in the NCAA tourney with no team being seeded lower than a 9.

I agree with you on every point.

Same... because they tore us a new orifice. Nobody else has done that quite as efficiently.

The Big 12: Where Travis Ford got caught booing on camera during the KU game after a foul got called on Cobbins.

When Iowa State gets rolling on offense....they are ridiculous. However, they can be quite perplexing at times too (see their loss a tech). Having said that, they simply create matchup problems all over the floor.

They obviously played great, but we played awful that day -- as we often seem to do when we play in Ames.

Everything about Ames is bad. It is a long road trip. The guys get off the plane and it is cold. ISU typically has a good home court crowd. It is just a tough place to play.

The hardest part about that game was the turnaround.

I believe we played K-State on saturday, then we had one day of practice and had to fly to Ames and take them on.

Next time will be different.
