Does anyone think we have a reasonable chance to compete with TCU?

If we play like we did tonight it may well get ugly.

It seems to me our problem is how short we are. And how inconsistent we are. But that is the price you pay for trying to build a team around short players that are too reliant on 3 point shooting.

Iowa State has proven that year after year. As we have over the past 4 or 5 years.

I watched TCU/OSU, and I watched TCU/Yale earlier in the year. We had a bad night to let TCU beat us once. I think we'll grab a fifteen to twenty point lead by halftime. It comes down to work on defense. TCU can't board with us unless we are lazy. They are lousy at ball protection.

If we show up at all, we take TCU just to get some practice time on defense prior to the matchup against Baylor.

I’ll only buy the size in the post...McCarty Higgs and sugg are all 5’4 5’9 and 5’9
Your backcourt in 5’7 5’9 and 6’
We just don’t play as hard! And we are better than TCU

We will beat TCU handily, I just hope we can compete against Baylor the way we played at their place.

We should beat them. However, should and this team have a hard time coming together.

We are just as capable of losing to them as beating them.

If we hit the boards, cut down on lazy, unfocused and just playing stupid and lazy turnovers, we SHOULD advance.

But, as I said, should and this team have a hard times staying married.

Baylor kills us again just to remind us that we aren’t in their league except on paper.

We were 8-0 against the bottom four (0-6 against the top three). In conference play, we pretty much play up to expectations.

We should beat TCU but have to do better than last night.

We didn't move. Our offense was all one on one. Treys, drive to the hoop or hit the post. We had no mid range game.

Rebounding. Far too many second chance points for Texas.

Smarter play. Three of four quarters we had control of the ball with the shot clock off, Texas scored each time and we got 0 points.

Hopefully better officiating. We always get hosed at Texas, that is to be expected. We touch, foul. They bump and slash, no foul. Most flagrant calls; Elbow knocking ViVi down resulting in easy score missed by the three blind mice and Ana diving for ball with position and Texas player diving into her, foul on Ana.

We need for Gabbi to show up on defense, at least, against TCU. She was 4 of 5 from three against Iowa State. Those are the only threes she has hit in the last four games. Otherwise, she is 0 for 13. We could use some offense. But, we can't let TCU guards go wild. We can stop them if we cover them everywhere. Guard the three point line. TCU gets sloppy if they have pressure.

In conference play, Maddie is our best from three. I think Ana is about 30% from three in conference play.

In our loss at Fort Worth, Maddie couldn't hit (22 in Norman). Nobody got a lot from TCU, but Ramirez scored nine, all in about the last two minutes.

Texas is the opponent that gives us a size problem. Plus they have talented size. We should beat TCU unless we have a crappy shooting game.

Here's Tulsa World's preview of the Big 12 women's basketball tournament.

As someone who personally attended the Big 12 tourney when OU won it all as a 6-seed (saw the red uniforms a lot more in a week than I had all season), you can never say never. Considering that was back when the conference had 12 teams, perhaps OU's in a similar situation this postseason as that year?

Kristy Wallace is out for the season with a torn ACL. That is a huge blow to Baylor.
