All good coaches. I wander if Bonnie might be on the hot seat this year if they do not improve? Sometimes, I wander how important womens basketball is to some schools, since it is a non revenue producer.

I was just about to say that.
Kristy Curry is in her second year as coach at Alabama.

Candace Whitaker is in her second season coaching at Tech.

Before that she spent a year as associate head coach under Jim Littell at Okie State. Before that she was head coach at UMKC.
Going back a bit further, she played for Texas Tech. A junior college transfer (who played for Jim Littell in junior college) she (Candi White) was the Lady Raider starting point guard for two seasons, leading them to the Sweet 16 in 2001 and 2002.

EDIT: I missed a couple posts while typing and looking up the link.

I think she has to be on the hot seat. I also agree that it seems sometimes coaches in women's sports are not expected to excel.

I'm starting to wonder what kind of fit the Mountaineers are in women's basketball in the Big 12, when they had 3014 in attendance at home against Baylor, and 1012 in attendance at home again vs Texas Tech. Baylor won by 4, Tech by significantly more, but those numbers rival the attendance of Big 12 schools that aren't in the conference anymore.

That's always a deceiving stat. Watching some televised women's games, there have been plenty of games that there have been around 3k or less butts in the seats (Tech, KU and TCU for sure). OU reports tickets sold not butts in the seats for their women's games. I'm sure most others do the same...

I am rather impressed by Raegan Pebley. TCU is a lot better than they were last year.

Sooners have been reporting both tickets sold and actual attendance on the box scores.

Nice catch. Doesn't happen often but it kinda proves my point. A top 5 team in Norman and the best women's fanbase in the Big 12 has 4300 people at the game. I think WVU is fine...

I think the whorns largest reported crowd this year was a little over 4,000 against Tennessee in Austin. And they have been top 10 most of the season.

Far and away the best attending fanbase in the B12 is Iowa State. This year for all home games they are averaging 8,293 followed by Baylor 5,772 and Oklahoma 5,119. ISU has lead the conference in attendance since the top years of the Paris twins reign in Norman.

Conference attendance by school is listed as the last stat for team statistics in the attached link.

I don think there's been 5,000 in the LNC once this year. My guess is 3,500 Max.

Is that tickets sold or butts in the seats? The Oklahoma one is tickets sold. I'm sure the other two are the same....

ISU has the best overall fanbase in the Big 12. They support EVERYTHING. Even their woeful football team!
