I don't pay for any boards right now, particularly for football as it is the same thing over and over, a chronology:
1. Spring: A bunch of kids that OU offered commit early to Texas, OU looking good on national kids. Spring practice, Stoops mean to media, hearing good things about [INSERT PLAYER], offensive line and receivers need to step it up. Feel really good about 10* recruit that loves OU
2. Summer/Early Fall: A few more commitments and actual games to be played. Hearing good things about the guys working out in the off-season. Player or two get in trouble, everyone rags on how said players are throwing their lives away. Stoops mean to media for not letting them hang out at fall practice. Still looking real good for 10* recruit.
3. Fall: Game time! OU blows out a crappy team, toss-up game with OOC BCS type opponent and then looks mediocre enough against a mediocre team to get everyone worked up over UT game. UT game, win more often than not, but if lose, the season is lost. Play out season, lose one or two games on the road, board meltdown but still generally win conference and lose BCS game. If any other bowl game, OU generally wins. Stoops mean to media. 10* recruit going to be at [INSERT] game, but a couple of other teams are making a move.
4. Winter: Guys transfer out, wasting their lives. As NSD approaches, OU recruits start falling down the list as UT guys move up. Recruits are all package deals, OU really picking up steam, one or two commitments defct from OU [can't keep thier word], one or two defect to OU [it's a business, better opportunity at OU]. OU still in it for 10* recruit, but Alabama, USC or Texas are making a last pitch.
5. All-Star Games/ NSD: OU just misses on 10* kid, everyone is amazed after hearing how much he loved OU. OU still ends up with consensus Top 5-10 class overall with a few guys that were underrated and a few that were overrated. Can't wait for Spring Practice.
Pretty much groundhog day.
