Did I hear right?????? Chris Paul to the Clippers???? With Blake?? What's the story??? :OUbball-logo:

Yep Blakers give up Kaman, Amani, and Eric Gordon for CP3. I'm not sure what the Clippers will do at the 2 though. But their lineup looks pretty good with Jordan, Blake, CP3, Caron Butler, there's also rumors that they are trying to get Josh Smith.

If Chris Paul's knee is ok this is an ok trade, if not they overpaid.

I really doubt if they get Josh Smith. Thats just internet speculation stuff because if they played him at the three, they would have Oops on Oops on Oops on Oops every game.

they'll probably start Chauncey at the 2 ... love the Paul trade - but wish somehow, someway they coulda kept Gordon. they'll have a lot of cap space but need frontcourt depth now.

Definitely think they overpaid when you consider they threw in Minnesota's first round draft pick...

I disagree because Chris Paul is probably the best PG in the league. If you have a chance to get him and not give up the best young PF in the league in Blake you get him. When CP3 first started in the league he pretty much only had West at PF and was able to help him into a solid scorer in this league. Imagine what he can do to help Blake out.

Didn't they get 2 second round picks though? If so surely one of those will pan out into a decent player.

Losing Eric Gordon sucks, he's a helluva player, I think they did just fine though as long as Paul stays healthy. They do need to find a decent 2 guard though.

They did but second round picks in the NBA are really just rolls of the dice.

CP3 is a great player though, no doubt. But this certainly doesn't make them an instant playoff contender in the next few years. They've still got to find a few big pieces.

The only thing that will make it tough to get into the playoffs this year is that there is basically no exhibition this year. This favors teams that are basically in tact. This is basically a new Clippers team and will have to find someone to fill the SG role, but they have Blake Griffin and CP3. CP3 made David West into an all-star what's he going to do with Blake who is already an all star and one of the most athletic players in the league?

In the NBA, it's better to have a quarter than three dimes. The Clippers are a SG and/or SF away from being elite. Having Blake and CP3 will attract FAs.

There aren't many FA's left this year. And in a couple of years, they won't have Paul, or they'll be paying him and Blake so much, they won't have any cap space. Jordan isn't cheap either.

Im not saying it isnt... I would have made the same move if I was LAC.

The deal NO got this time makes the Lakers deal they took look like a joke. I thought Demps was crazy to agree to that Lakers trade, and now I know he was.
