Blake Griffin says his new tag as 'villain' is crazy talk

that is the stupidest crap of all time. He's one of the nicest kids on the planet. You'd be hard pressed to find a better all-around human.

losers.

If playing too hard (whatever the hell that means) makes him a villain then he's guilty as charged

Griffin is one of the sharpest, wittiest guys around. He doesn't always show it to the masses, but he has this dry humor that is fantastic.

It was on display just the other day when he responded to recent criticism from DeMarcus Cousins. The Sacramento big man called Griffin an “actor.”

Griffin's response?

“I first heard about it from my acting coach; he sent me an email,” he said. “He was obviously thrilled.”

Haha classic....

I have never seen Griffin dish out a cheap shot but I have seen take a bunch of them without reacting overly negatively and often without even reacting. That doesn't seem like a villan to me.

I do think Blake needs to figure out a way to see things his way without coming across as complaining but virtually everyone in the league needs to master that particular art. Jordan was probably the best at it.

I know it bothers some players that when Blake gets fouled he often really sells it, often to the point of embellishment. Fact of the matter is that's what you have to do to get any foul called on you when you're a 6-10 superstar playing Class A Oklahoma high school basketball. Those guys would just bounce off him. It's something he picked up back then out of necessity and carries with him to this day, he'll probably grow out of it someday, but old habits die hard.

Villain is the wrong word. With the rise of the Clippers and him starting the All Star game he is a "Rival" to other top players. I think Blake vs Cousins could be a nice rivalry going forward.

Blake Griffin’s league-wide popularity has taken a bit of a hit this season – fans, media and opponents have complained about his constant whining to refs, pre and post-dunk antics, and general arrogance – but his teammate Chris Paul says, What’s not to love? Unless, of course, you have been the victim of a Blake Griffin slam.

Per the Oklahoman: “At the suggestion that Griffin had turned to the dark side, Clippers point guard Chris Paul nearly choked on his post-practice energy bar. ‘What’s not to like about him?’ he said. ‘He’s fun. He’s funny. He laughs, jokes, smiles. He’s a great guy off the court.’ Hard to argue that. Griffin is one of the sharpest, wittiest guys around. He doesn’t always show it to the masses, but he has this dry humor that is fantastic. It was on display just the other day when he responded to recent criticism from DeMarcus Cousins. The Sacramento big man called Griffin an ‘actor.’ Griffin’s response? ‘I first heard about it from my acting coach; he sent me an email,’ he said. ‘He was obviously thrilled.’ […] ‘Shoot, everybody loves him,’ Paul said, getting fired up as he talked. ‘Shoot, don’t nobody love him more than my son. I don’t know nobody that don’t like Blake.’ He paused. ‘Except for the guys he dunks on.’”

In my opinion CP3's whining and flopping has rubbed off on the whole Clippers team.

While rooting for the Thunder, it is pretty evident that Blake does act quite a bit

he is one of the most disliked players in the league from fans and opposing players. oj mayo, cousins, matt barnes, and multiple others have called him out for his antics

That's what happens when you are good at what you do.

I remember all the people/players who genuinely disliked and even hated Karl Malone.

F them
