Blast from the past: OU/Cincy Dec 22 1999

I was there with my dad. That team was freakishly physical and athletic, we were just outclassed. Kenny Satterfield was great that game, and Kmart dominated us in the second half. They were a fun team to watch

Kenyon Martin vs Victor Avila......MISMATCH. Actually, Martin kind of took it easy on us. Avila played off of him and he just hit jumpers on us. But it was no contest.

I was a soph in college that year and I had high hopes for basketball and football that year. That game sucked because I have never like Cincy basketball.

I was there with my dad. That Cinci team was incredibly tall and athletic. K-mart looked like he wasn't even trying, yet still managed to put up good numbers.

I wasn't there but I remember it quite well for some reason. I thought OU had a chance for the upset but it was pretty obvious early on that wasn't happening. Like most Bob Huggins coached teams Cincy was a really athletic bunch.

LOL... Understatement.

I was there, and it was one of the more raucous pregame atmospheres I can remember... LN packed the house that night. We just didn't have the players to keep up.

Cincy fans will always wonder what could've been had Kenyon not been hurt during the 2000 tournament... Michigan State may have not won it all that year had he been healthy.

It looked like Cincy might win a champinoship that year, but didnt KMart break his leg?

Yes he did, in the conference tournament.

I remember getting there late with my dad. I was in 4th grade and that was our first year to have season tickets. When OU finally got on the board (I think we were down like 9-0) the place erupted. I was shocked that it got that loud because I was used to games against Coppin State and the like.
