Brooke is following a lot of coaches on Twitter and a lot of coaches are following her. That does not include any OU coaches. Of course, that is not determinate as to whether she will sign with OU but... just sayin. She is friends with Peyton and Kornet. I sure hope the coaches have not withdrawn their interest in Brooke but I am getting concerned that they may have.

Don't believe the hype or bias rankings.. Just have fun, smile, be an encouraging teammate, be a great passer, & have passion when you play.

I am very surprised she isn't ranked in the top 100. I don't know if there is a bias against her but something is wrong.

It appears she is a bit miffed about it as well and she should be. She is a great kid and has a lot of talent. If she comes to OU I will be very happy to see her in C&C and I don't say that very often about players who are not top 100 kids and who are basically ignored by the recruiting services.

I think that by now Sherri is quite aware of Brooke, and she has her own evaluation which she regards as superior to that of any recruiting service. The question is whether Sherri thinks Brooke will be able to contribute to OU, especially with the mix that we have now. If Brooke were a 6-2 forward, I think she would have been offered by now. But, she is at a position where OU has some depth, most of whom are pretty good. Would Brooke add something to that group?

sybarite,
Brooke's a classic 3.
so right now she's behind Kornet and Manning. I think you have hit on the problem. Her skill set is too much like what OU has.

OU needs something different in a limited ship environment.

I'm starting to wonder if Sherri might be "skipping" this recruiting cycle, and holding back ships to go for a bigger 4 or 5 player class in 2016.

I think it is likely Brooke is better than Kornet (although you never know until they face D-1 competition). Kornet is limited in that she cannot take defenders off the dribble due to a lack of quickness and ball handling skills. If she is on from BTA, she is pretty good. If not, she isn't going to produce much scoring (she averaged less than 6 points per game). She is an average defender and rebounder at best. From what I've seen and read, Brooke can get past defenders and she can score in a variety of ways. She is also a very good ball handler and passer. Cannot say how she is defensively or rebounding. I do think Brooke's game might be very close to Maddie's. I love players who are not one dimensional offensively but who can score inside/outside/and at the line.

The one thing I still believe is important is, if we don't get Brooke, our chances of getting Cox or Mulkey are slim to none. With Brooke, I think they go up to the 25-35% range. When you add in her skills, I think that is more than enough to warrant a ship.

1. You have to remember that Sherri has seen these players when they were in HS and can compare them. She probably knows exactly what she would have with Brooke, and she probably isn't done with Kornet yet.
2. Why do you think Cox or Mulkey would follow Brooke? From what I have seen, friendships rarely generate recruits.
