With Hield’s recognition, Oklahoma joins an elite group of college basketball powerhouses with multiple Naismith Trophy winners, including Duke University (7), UCLA (5), University of North Carolina (3), University of Virginia (3), Indiana University (3) and University of Texas (2).

That is elite company. It is interesting that OU and Texas are on that list, but Kansas is not.

Since I live near where the Charlotte Hornets play, I'll get to watch him play at least once a year. I'm rooting for him to go to an eastern conference team so I can see him play more than that.
