Just saw a tweet that he was medi-flighted to the hospital. Hope everything is ok.

Horrible! Do you know what happened?

Word is he ran into a screen and his neck whipped back very badly.

Sounds like he's going to be fine, according to things on the OSU board, report on the news, feeling in his limbs as at least partly come back and is improving. Sounds like he might have had a pinched nerve or something like that, and he might have lost feeling in his extremities for a period of time and he was flown to the hospital as a precautionary measure, after the initial scare.

Edit - Fine relative to being seriously injured, no idea about beyond that.

hope he is okay- I've seen him play on television a couple of times. He looks like he will be one of the more entertaining players to watch.

Dang that is serious business. Hope he does not have any lingering nerve damage. Good Luck to him.

Prayers to him. Hope he bounces back. Its tough for a kid that is a long way from home, to have to go into the hospital with family so far away.

Not good news for the young man. Hope he is "OK" but I have a hard time buying the medi-flight was a precautionary measure. Had he been rushed off in an ambulance to Stillwater Medical Center that be a lot easier to believe. You have to wonder just how serious a condition the kid was/is in to be medi-flighted. You don't call in medi-flight just to be safe. It's usually a life or death type situation. How many neck injuries in football do you see and how often do you see that player get medi-flighted away from the stadium? I can't remember ever seeing it.

How many programs have Boone's checkbook to make sure he gets attended to in a timely manner?

I sure hope this kid is fine and can still play basketball. I cannot imagine having worked so hard for something and then losing it to a freak injury when it was literally only weeks away from being reality.

Who was the Texas player that had problems w/ a neck injury? Is he still playing in the NBA?

This kid has been through a ton.

This injury, was very homesick at the beginning of the year, had stuff stolen from him. A very tough start to his college time.

What does Boone's checkbook have to do with Guerrero's medical treatment? And why is it necessary to bring that up in a thread just hoping the kid is not seriously injured?

Gotta agree. Not a comment that needs to be made.

Treated and released, expected to make a full recovery.

Good to hear. Any confirmation on HoHum's account of the injury (pinched nerve from a hard screen)? If it truly was a pinched nerve and a precautionary medi-flight, I would think he should have a speedy recovery.

Still under close watch by team doctors. Will be awhile before he can practice. I've not yet heard what the exact problem was. But he ran into a pick and got his neck snapped backward. Temporary paralysis, but as he was being transported to OKC, he began to move his extremities.

Obviously every precaution is being taken with this.
