I love having multiple players with point guard skills! Having multiple players that can handle the rock on the floor at the same time solves many problems.

Here we go Shake ... make it Boomer Sooner!

Doubtful he starts at pg early in his career. If Woodard makes the jump I think he'll make this year, he is your starting pg the next two seasons. That would leave Shake either coming off the bench, or starting at another guard spot.

Good points. I think if they got him it would be whoever got the rebound or ball first would be the point or push it up the court.

Shake is a really a PG. I know people argued with me when I posted that before but he can be a combo guard too. He has a PG mentality, pass first and very efficient as a scorer. He isn't going to slash like Jordan does, but he can handle the ball, and passes well. He is a smart player.

He needs to work on his foot speed and defense to be a factor early wherever he goes.

Great kid and I just don't see him going to Indiana unless the AAU coach wins out. That is a lot way away from Mom and the little ones. At least at SMU he has family in Texas too.

I wonder where the Owasso coach thinks he will commit? I know his AAU coach is hoping for Indiana.

I hate that his AAU coach could play any factor whatsoever in the decision. I want him to pick where he is most comfortable and is the best place for him, and if that is Indiana so be it......


Not saying his AAU coach doesn't have his interests at heart, but my experience has been soured by a few AAU coaches who were "looking out" for players on their team.....there is often a reason for everything.


That said.....his AAU coach could generally be trying to help and look out for him.

College sports are so gross these days. I hate that the people who are supposed to be the mentors to these kids are being bought. It's unfair to the players to put that kind of pressure on them and it is unfair to them that the people who are supposed to be helping them can't do so in good faith anymore because they are being paid off.

I couldn't have said it any better. This isn't exactly Wayman Tisdale or Danny Manning we're talking about. Indiana is a top-10 all-time tradition hoops school for crying out loud. I'm still predicting Crean will be fired by the time April rolls around.
