Question for the board -

I have consistently watched Tyler Neal get owned off the dribble by bigs this year. He is shooting poorly from the field (missing wide open 3s).

I get that maybe the Arkansas matchup was a tough one for Fitzgerald but there is no way that Tyler Neal should be playing 15 minutes in a tight game!

What do you guys think about giving Cam a shot at some spot post minutes? He has bulked up and is athletic enough to rebound. I think he could help...

Absolutely agree Big Time and have posted such. If Neal is not hitting the 3 there is no reason for him to be out there. Big liability every where. Cam looks like he is coming around and he can sky so he will get as many rebounds as Neal.

In a tight game, unless we have big foul problems, Neal shouldn't even see the court.
Love Kruger, but I don't know what he see's that I'm not in Neal.

I agree Big Time. Clark can get the rebounds and it is not like Neal plays post up offense so it wouldn't be that much of a change. Neal hasn't been hitting 3s and he gets hammered under the basket with the ball resulting in a very low field goal % (5 of 20).

Cam could be what Cade Davis was his SR year. Minus the 3pt ability.

In all fairness Neal has gotten some good defensive boards. But seeing Cam last night against Arkansas show some scoring presence from inside, if he can continue to cultivate that then yeah he should get more of the minutes. He just needs to be consistent, like everyone on our team I guess...

I was thinking Tony Crocker.

I'm not trying to bag on Tyler Neal but its becoming painfully obvious that he is the weak link in the rotation right now!

I'm impressed. That is exactly the move Kruger made at practice today.

What if Hield had gotten Neal's minutes and played 15 more minutes? Cam could have still played his 20 put played some of them in the post.

I don't think Crock ever played in the post though. But crock and Cam are really similar players but Crock was a much better scorer.

Neal just looks uninspired on the court. IMO it's not a matter of talent because I like his skill-set. Reminds me of Gordon Hayward.

Have to find his strength and make it work!! The kid can leap out of the gym. Couple of back door dunks makes the fans happy.. Great job Cam

Actually I think Crocker did play some 4 at times but not like what I think is suggested for Cam.

Yah that's why I used Cade Davis. For a 6'5" SG he really stepped up and helped anchor what little post we had his SR year. I think Cam could be that type of player for this team.
